Loves to eat Junk Food is a photo about our own daemons. Women are often policing themselves in terms of what they eat and how they enjoy themselves. We often say things like “only a sliver of that cake please,” “I’ll have the salad,” or “none for me, thanks” because they are terrified of gaining weight and also the way others look at us. As a woman I often feel embarrassed ordering the foods that I really want to eat, as I feel as though I am not permitted to indulge.
